Stephanie SangCEO & Partner
Stephanie, a true Vancouverite, vowed never to be an entrepreneur, though she comes from four generations of business owners. Stephanie holds a degree in international marketing, and worked in various industries including tourism and technology, before establishing herself in a VP role with an international manufacturer in Taiwan. After ten years of fast-paced Asian living, and success in developing her family business to pre-IPO stage, she returned to Vancouver in 2010 to start Granted Consulting. As head ‘grant angel’, Stephanie and her team impact businesses in B.C. by helping them leverage grant opportunities successfully.
Tom LiaoSr. Consultant & Partner
Tom comes from vast experience in international trade and manufacturing. He has lead teams internationally in product engineering and design and was instrumental in establishing quality systems for manufacturing plants. Tom’s role at Granted is to ‘spread the wealth’ to non-English speaking communities such as the Chinese community in Greater Vancouver. He continues to build a reputation among Chinese networks as the ‘go-to’ source for funding opportunities.
Paul LeungManager & Client Services
Paul brings over six years of customer service and professional advisory experience to Granted. He has spent a significant part of his career in the financial services industry, helping clients grow their small business by focusing on a needs-based approach and prioritizing long term relationships over short term gains. He holds a B.A. in Economics and Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Simon Fraser University. Paul spends his leisure time supporting a non-profit organization that helps improve local youth through leadership and personal development.
Maksim ChitovAccount Manager and Research Lead
Maksim is dedicated to entrepreneurial success. With a B.A. in International Relations from Simon Fraser University, he holds a wealth of knowledge on global trade policies and the international economic climate. Maksim’s familiarity with the entrepreneurial mindset and his understanding of the institutional origin of funding programs enables him to advise on effective grant solutions for businesses in B.C.
Michelle ChuAccount Coordinator | Bookkeeper
Michelle brings over twenty years of experience in account management, working in various roles at Citigroup Global banking in Taiwan. She is able to work with the Chinese business community in the B.C. to share grant opportunities with them to support their growth in their organization. Her international experience also includes tourism and wholesale distribution. She received a diploma from the State University of New York in Fashion Merchandising Management. Michelle also supports the company by managing bookkeeping responsibilities.
Vivian PellegrinoExecutive Assistant
Vivian is the Executive Assistant to Stephanie and helps to coordinate activities associated with business development for the company. She was born and raised in Brazil and has worked internationally in various roles in the United Kingdom and Japan. Her work experience in restaurant, apparel, and education contributes to her success at Granted. Vivian completed her Bachelor of Arts in Translation and Interpretation from UNINOVE in Brazil and is fluent in English and Portuguese, and can communicate in both Spanish and Japanese.
Mark LeeAdministrative Coordinator
Mark is the Administrative Coordinator and supports our team of account managers to prepare applications and supplementary documentation for grant claims. His experience in data entry and sales coordination helps to ensure precision and efficiency to ensure compliance and accuracy in the application process. Mark has completed courses at Rutgers University in the U.S. and is bilingual in both English and Korean. In his spare time, he enjoys reading books and listening to podcasts.
Jennifer CuiAccount Manager
Jennifer joins Granted as an Account Manager with over eight years of experience from industries including: manufacturing, telecommunication, apparel, and software. She loves to help clients understand the strategic aspects of securing grants to give them a competitive advantage in their field. Jennifer has completed her MBA in Management Technology from Simon Fraser University and is fluent in both English and Mandarin. She enjoys volunteering with business organizations in Vancouver including the Vancouver Board of Trade and Women’s Executive Network.
Rukshaar AliAccount Manager
Rukshaar is passionate about working with clients of all industries to build long-term customer relationships. She has held various roles in customer service and account management and her experience from retail, manufacturing, and financial technology industries will support her work at Granted. Rukshaar completed a BBA from Kwantlen in Marketing Management with particular interest in marketing and psychology as it relates to customer behavior. She is also fluent in both English and Hindi. As an animal lover, she enjoys volunteering with the BCSPCA to support animal welfare initiatives.
