This role will include three primary skills sets:
- Project Management: Run a variety of projects on both a weekly cadence independently and quarterly in collaboration with other Research team members. Assess how much time to allocate to a particular project based on the grant program and how it aligns with Granted’s client base. Projects will follow the lifecycle of funding programs, from inception to completion.
- Data Handling: Procure valuable data via web research, funder updates, referrals and email. Summarizing and publishing grant information into Granted’s database and upkeep the storage of relevant documents. Verify key pieces of information with grant funders and generate insights for the team and their client base. Utilize new technologies and systems to develop and improve on the accuracy and efficiency of sourcing and transcribing relevant grants for target audiences.
- Communication: Seek out key contacts for new grant programs via networking initiatives including phone calls, email, referrals and networking events. You will be liaising with grant funders on a weekly basis and completing updates and changes that are to be documented, published and communicated to the team and our clients.
ABOUT YOU
You enjoy researching grant programs and resources and lead the charge in ensuring projects are delivered on time. Gathering information in both English and French, reading government documents for key insights and writing are natural skill sets.
A fast paced work environment helps you thrive and you easily handle fluctuating workloads while being able to jump from one project to the next quickly and effectively.
You have experience in a relevant field or are familiar through post secondary education in research, fact checking, writing documentation and validating information. You are curious about embracing available technologies that support efficiency and accuracy. Above all, you’re looking to use your skills to help the day-to-day operations of the business.
We Are Seeking Candidates Who Have
- An undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline is preferred. Ideal candidates are students completing their master’s degree in a related field (business, legal, political science, economics, etc).
- Fluent in both English and French, business French knowledge is required.
- Experience with project management is preferred.
- Experience working in a research environment is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and team skills.
- Experience with technologies including Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and AI technologies.
- Self-directed and willing to take initiative in relation to carrying out assigned tasks.
- Ability to work independently, under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent time management, organizational and coordination skills.
COMPENSATION
This posting is for a full-time position on a short-term contract, with ability to extend into a longer placement with part-time hours. Paid sick leave and 2 personal paid days per year. We also offer 2 paid volunteering days per year and extended health benefits.
Pay Rate: $23/hour x 37.5 hours per week for 13-16 week placement
