Digital Marketing Skills Experience (DMSE):
Provides funding of 50% of wages up to $5,000 for employers hiring marketing talent who have completed a specific upskilling program. Employers may access up to $25,000 per quarter. This program aims to support employers engaging with diverse and skilled talent while providing financial incentives to enhance their team’s capacity.
Canada Job Alberta Jobs Grants (CAJG)
This program helps Alberta employers offset the costs of training new and current employees to improve their skills and/or advance to new positions in the company. The program subsidises two-thirds of eligible costs to an annual maximum of $10,000 per person (or 100% of costs to $15,000 for unemployed participants). Training cannot begin before approval and must be at least 21 hours long.
Magnet Student Workplace Placement Program
This federal program offers wage subsidies to hire current post-secondary students part-time or full-time. Undergraduate students and graduate students are eligible to apply. Employers must be willing to provide a quality learning experience to a student and have the financial capacity to pay the student in full for the duration of the placement. Students from under-represented groups are eligible for a 70% subsidy up to a maximum of $7000, while others will be eligible for 50% subsidy up to a maximum of $5000.
WIL Digital Student Workplace Program
This federal program helps employers in the digital economy hire Canadian post-secondary students by subsidising up to 70% of the student’s salary to a maximum of $7000. The goals of the program are to increase the job-readiness of students looking to build careers in a digital field and to offset the cost of hiring for employers.
