About The Grant
The Workplace Accessibility Grant aids small businesses in British Columbia in establishing an inclusive work environment for individuals with disabilities. Eligible businesses can secure funding for projects aimed at enhancing workplace accessibility and eliminating barriers.
Qualified enterprises are invited to seek financial assistance for initiatives that enhance accessibility in the workplace and eliminate obstacles for individuals with disabilities.
Program Overview
Reimbursement grants of up to $5,000 are accessible upon project approval and verification of expenses, with funds transferred electronically. Applicants must provide detailed expense reports and proof of purchase for project-related products or services.
Companies will become qualified to receive reimbursement once their project undergoes a successful evaluation and gains approval from our team, and upon submission and verification of all associated expenses.
Application Window
The grant program will be open for applications from businesses starting on June 21, 2021, until April 30, 2024. Funding will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to businesses and projects that fulfill the necessary eligibility requirements.
Qualification Requirements
Eligibility for this Grant Program is extended to enterprises employing a workforce ranging from 1 to 50 individuals, inclusive of part-time and full-time staff as well as the business proprietor. Companies must be duly registered and possess a valid license to operate in British Columbia at the time they submit their application. Additionally, businesses are required to submit comprehensive details, including the enterprise’s name, owner’s information, contact details, and banking information to facilitate the Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) of grant funds.
A thorough description of the project, including specifics of the item(s) and/or service(s) acquired, supported by receipt(s) and a clear indication of the payment method, is also mandatory for inclusion in their official record.
